Airport Extravaganza
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. / Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. Cornfest & Everett-Stewart Regional Airport present - Airport Extravaganza September 10 & 11, 2011. This year's 2-day event promises more excitement than ever before. Two exciting days featuring aerobatics, air show acts and a wide range of presentations of historic and modern day aircraft are planned. Bring your lawn chairs. No Coolers. $5 per person - 5 and under free. With each ticket purchase - enter a drawing for football tickets to see the Vols take on MTSU in Knoxville. Drawings for free set of tires, 4 oil changes, 2 bikes. Concessions sold by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
We will combine the exciting Air Show with a special tribute to our fellow Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2011.

We will also feature an area for "children's activities" including a petting zoo and pony rides, mini carnival, face painting by the Carl Perkins Center for Child Abuse, and Reading Railroad. New this year: of special interest to youngsters will be the "Kids-N-Rigs" - an opportunity for children to have a hands-on experience with different types of heavy equipment. An Aviation Art contest for children ages 6 -17; Oogie and Oogls the clowns; Baptist will host a "First Aide Tent" and offer "door prizes" and a "bungee run"; the Extravaganza MarketPlace will showcase some of our area's finest local artists, specialty businesses, gift items and quality manufactured goods.
Proceeds from concession sales will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited Chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide)

Pet Parade
9 a.m. Categories including Owner/Pet Most Look-a-Like and Pet-less child in costume carring stuffed animal. T-shirt for first 50 entries. Each pet is the responsibility of their owners and must be up to date on vaccinations and restrained at all times. Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by parent. Owners must clean up after their pets. Contest judged by Pudge-n-Pals.

Run for the Pig
4 p.m. Contestant group ages 6 - 12 and 13 and older compete for prizes. Williams Sausage and West Tennessee Public Television station: WLJT are teaming up to provide a fun community event at this year's Day in the Park! The 2011 RUN FOR THE PIG promises to be a wild time as our celebrities chase down greased pigs! But it is not just for fun, it is also raising money for public television in West Tennessee. You can help support WLJT and have fun at the same time by voting on which celebrity you would like to see kiss the pig! Each of our celebrities will have a donation jar at the event where fans can "vote" with money to decide who gets the honor of pig kisser! This year's celebrities include: Jennifer Horbelt, News Anchor WPSD TV; Chris Brinkley, WCMT - Times in the Morning; Principal Michael Paul Miller, UC Middle School; Missy Emrich, Steve's Custom Jewelers; Jared Hamlin, star of Lifetimes's Glamour Belles; Tracy Bruff, Town and Country Dry Cleaners and Laundry. Our celebrities are not the only ones chasing pigs. Children and adults interested in competing for the title of this year's fastest pig chaser can register to run! Folks with the fastest time will win a great prize.

Miss FallFest Tenneseee Scholarship Pageant
Held at the Capitol Theater on First Street 6 p.m. Contestants will compete in interview, evening gown, talent, swimsuit and casual wear categories. This pageant is a preliminary to teh Miss Tennessee America Scholarship Pageant. All Miss American pageant eligibility rules will apply. Participants must be between the ages of 17 - 24.
